Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has called for calm among party supporters amidst the tension of the ongoing collation of election results.
Addressing supporters, he expressed confidence in the party’s prospects as he challenged the figures currently circulating.
Projections on social media largely tallies that the decisive national results will ultimately favour the NDC.
However, Chairman Wontumi urged supporters to stay optimistic and trust the process.
“These are just preliminary figures. The real game-changer is the national results, and we believe that our hard work and the trust of Ghanaians will lead us to victory,” Wontumi stated.
The Chairman also reassured party members that the NPP remains committed to ensuring the integrity of the process and urged vigilance as the collation of votes continues.
“Our votes will determine who leads Ghana come January 7, and I am confident that the people have made the right choice,” he added.
His remarks come at a time when emotions are high across the political spectrum, with both major parties closely monitoring the counting and collation processes nationwide.
