The People’s National Party (PNP) has confirmed its leader and national chairperson Janet Asana Nabla as the flagbearer for the December 7 elections.
This was at a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Sunday, September 1 where Dr Edmund Ayesu was also confirmed as the running mate.
The party in a statement said this pivotal decision marks a significant step forward in its journey to provide Ghana with a leadership team committed to transformative change.
The statement signed by the General Secretary, Suleman Seidu touted the expertise and experience the duo bring to the political space.
“Their combined expertise, passion, and strategic vision are set to redefine Ghana’s path to progress, focusing on the pillars of Family, Community, and the Motherland,” PNP said.
PNP has therefore called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the new leaders as they work together towards a future that prioritises the well-being and prosperity of every citizen.
Madam Nabila was the first female General Secretary of a political party in Ghana while at the helm at the People’s National Convention (PNC).
She, however, broke away from PNC to form PNP in April 2024.
Her running mate is a respected academic and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Science Research at the Kumasi Technical University.
