The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Juaboso Constituency of the Western North Region has issued a strong warning against alleged attempts to include foreigners in tomorrow’s general elections.
Addressing the media at Sehwi Juaboso, NPP regional communication team member Kum Timothy claimed that the party had uncovered a plan by the incumbent Member of Parliament for Juaboso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to bus people from the Ivory Coast to participate in the polls.
Kum described the alleged act as unlawful and emphasized that the NPP would take necessary steps to prevent such occurrences.
Kum Timothy reiterated the NPP’s commitment to maintaining peace in the constituency but stressed that such actions would be met with resistance to ensure a fair election process.
He also urged constituents to vote for the NPP parliamentary candidate, Dr. Alexander Ampaabeng, and the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, citing their dedication to peace and development in the area.
The allegations add to rising tensions in Juaboso as political parties prepare for tomorrow’s high-stakes elections.
Security agencies have been called upon to ensure a smooth and transparent voting process.
