Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has strongly criticized Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah for saying former President John Dramani Mahama will win the December 7, 2024, presidential election.
Chairman Wontumi expressed his disagreement during an interview on Wontumi FM, stating that the man of God has no authority to determine the outcome of the upcoming election.
Additionally, he claimed that he possesses the “power and strength” to alter the positions of political parties on the final ballot paper, which was recently finalized and published by the Electoral Commission.
He issued a challenge to Rev. Owusu Bempah, saying that he could demonstrate what true strength and power mean.
“If he has one, I have ten,” Wontumi declared.
“If he challenges me, I will move the NDC from the 8th position to the 6th. I’m telling you this to show you my strength and power. While we are embarking on a serious campaign, you’re playing games. Pharisees! I’m daring you… You’re not a man. I could say more, but I’ve forgiven you,” he said.
