2024 election: This is a moment for sober reflection – Mac Manu

-

Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu, has said that a potential defeat in the 2024 election should be a moment of sober reflection.

According to him, the party should not see the loss as the end of the world but rather as an opportunity to learn lessons.

“This is a moment for sober reflection and learning from our mistakes. We must take this as an opportunity to rebuild and come back stronger,” he said.

In an interview with Accra-based ChannelOneTV, Mr Manu admonished the rank and file to accept the results in good faith if it does not go their way.

He urged the party to focus on regaining the trust and goodwill of the Ghanaian people.

“It’s two things you either win or you lose, we have been in an election before and lost. It is for us to retreat, go back and look at what went wrong, a postmortem and stuff like that

It is a big deal that we have lost because we went into the election to win,” he added.
