The Police have dismissed reports alleging an ongoing voting exercise at the New Patriotic Party(NPP) office at Abeka in the Greater Accra region.
In a statement, the Police said they have taken notice of media reports suggesting that a group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters stormed the office in the Okaikwei Central Constituency over suspicions of voting taking place.
However, their investigations have established that the place is not a polling station and no voting is taking place at the said office.
“We urge the public to disregard this claim and partner the Police as we work towards avoiding misinformation and disinformation during this critical time and beyond,” a statement said.
