The Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Sammy Gyamfi has declared its Okaikwei North parliamentary candidate, Theresa Awuni remains resolute to retain the seat.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah will have the shock of her life on December 7.
The outspoken politician asserted that, the incumbent Akuapem North MP was deported from her constituency, pushing her to contest in Okaikwei.
However, during the NDC’s campaign tour in the constituency, they realised the people are angry and will reject her by voting massively for Madam Awuni.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Mr Gyamfi said the seat is very important to the NDC.
He acknowledged it has been the stronghold of the NPP and it was historic when Madam Awuni won in 2020.
Sammy Gyamfi further alleged that, the NPP’s candidate is giving GH₵500 to each constituents as well as rice and other items but she will still be rejected.
“The seat is in our hands and God has already done it. The NPP disrespected the people by bringing a deportee, Dokua and the people will reject her,” he declared.
