The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is confident about winning back the seats they lost in the Greater Accra region to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 election.
The region has been a swing region in the last seven elections, which makes it a must-watch in the December 7 elections.
The NPP lost 7 seats to the NDCÂ in the 2020 elections in the region.
But speaking on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Abetifi MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong declared the NPP will deploy effective strategies to achieve its target in the 2024 elections.
According to him, the NDC can attest to the fact that they have lost some seats already to the NPP and it will manifest on December 7.
Specifically, Dr Acheampong said the NPP has set its eyes on six seats currently been held by the NDC.
“Greater Accra is not a waterloo for the NPP. There is no seat we are holding currently that we will lose but there are definitely six seats we will snatch from the NDC. Talk of Okai Kwei North, Ablekuma Central, Ledzokuku, Korle Klottey; you can call Zenator to ask how things are going and you will hear her response. We have candidates you are flying high. We will pick all these seats and the NDC knows this is no secret ,” he stated.
