The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is poised to win all 23 parliamentary seats in the Central Region in the upcoming 2024 election.
With barely nine days to the December 7 election, the NPP is confident that the ground is fertile and the odds are in its favor.
The NPP currently holds 10 of the seats, while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) holds 13 after securing nine seats from the NPP in the 2020 election.
However, the Central Regional Secretary, Richard Takyi Mensah, in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, vowed that the NPP is leaving no stone unturned.
“We have targeted every seat in the region because it is winnable. This election is about science and data. The performance of the NDC regarding the parliamentary seats is low, but we will not be complacent.
“If nothing at all, we will protect our 10 seats and reclaim the nine seats we lost in 2020,” he stated.
Mr. Mensah expressed confidence that the people of the region will reward the good works of President Akufo-Addo by massively voting for its parliamentary candidates and the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
