The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken the top position on the ballot for this year’s crucial presidential and parliamentary elections.
Its main contender, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will appear on the number 8 slot on the ballot paper in the December 7 elections.
This was per the balloting carried out at the Electoral Commission (EC) on Friday, September 20, 2024.
This means the photograph of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the elephant symbol would therefore appear at number one and that of former President John Mahama and the NDC umbrella symbol would be on the number 8 position.
The Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP) picked number 2 while the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) picked number 3.

The NPP Director of Elections, Evans Nimako, who picked the position for his party was beside himself with joy and said the position means it is possible for the NPP to break the 8.
