2024 election: NDC will not be victims of peace – Opare Addo

-

The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo has pledged the party’s commitment towards a peaceful election on December 7.

However, he said the NDC will not be victims of peace.

“No, we won’t let that happen. If you draw your dagger, we draw our dagger,” he declared on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Monday.

According to him, peace requires a collective effort and to ensure a smooth election, all relevant stakeholders must be called to order.

“If Ghanaians want peace, CSOs, clergy, media, and the Peace Council must call Akufo-Addo, Bryan Acheampong and other warmongers to order. They are not more Ghanaians than anybody; we are all equal stakeholders and we will not allow anybody take the will of the people for granted,” he stated.

This comes after Abetifi Member of Parliament and Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong said the NPP will win the December 7 election by all means.

Pablo as he is popularly called stated that, the NDC expects the NPP to hand over peacefully if they lose the election.

“We[NDC] lost an election when we were in power and President Mahama handed over so let man born of a woman dare to impede the moving train bringing victory to NDC in election 2024.

“If NDC lose the election on fair grounds, we will concede we have done it before, John Mahama is a democrat but if we win, nobody dares stop us. We will not cause mayhem but if anybody dares bring it on, we will respond appropriately,” he noted.
