2024 election: NDC, NPP final rallies a test for peace pact – Dr Boahen

-

A Political Marketing Analyst, Dr. Bernard Tutu Boahen, has stated that the decision by the two major political parties to host their final rallies on the same day is aimed at preventing cross-attendance.

Dr Boahen has said it is a litmus test for the peace pact signed on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Both the National Democratic Congress(NDC) and the New Patriotic Party(NPP) are rounding up their campaign activities for the 2024 election with a final rally today, December 5, 2024, with the venues only 5-kilometres.

The NDC’s event is taking place at the Zurak Park in the Madina constituency while the NPP’s event is concurrently ongoing at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate.

This situation has sparked numerous discussions.

However, Dr Boahen in an interview with Adom News said this is nothing new.

“There are several reasons why these parties have decided to take this action. This is also a time for each party to show their professionalism and test the peace pact they have signed, ensuring their supporters remain controlled to avoid any trouble,” he said.
