New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Dome Kwabenya, Mike Ocquaye Jnr, has said he is not moved by polls, predicting his defeat in the upcoming December 7 election.
According to him, he smiles whenever he hears such projections.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mike Ocquaye stated that pollsters predicted he would lose the NPP parliamentary primary.
However, at the end of the day, he emerged victorious and a force to be reckoned with.
“My campaign is different; it is submarine. We are on the ground listening to the people to know what their needs are so we can serve them accordingly. I am an area boy and engaged the people on a deeper level,” he stated.
He added there is no way the National Democratic Congress(NDC) can snatch the seat from the NPP.
“The Dome-Kwabenya seat will forever remain blue and the NDC knows there is no way they can win it. Dome-Kwabenya constituents know that the NPP candidate is experienced and is an area boy,” he declared.
Mr Ocquaye Jnr is contesting against the NDC’s Elikplim Akurugu and with Dome-Kwabenya as the largest constituency, it is a critical battleground in the upcoming elections.
