The Paramount chief of Yeji in the Bono East Region, Pimanim Yaw Kabrese V, says NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is poised for victory in the upcoming elections due to the hard work put in by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.
According to Pimanim Kabrese V, the NPP and Dr Bawumia in particular have done a solid job over the past 8 years, spreading development across the country and implementing policies that have positively touched every life.
He is certain the electorate, especially those in his Traditional Area will massively reward the NPP and it’s flagbearer in the December polls.
The Yeji Paramount chief claimed even the fish in the rivers in the area are eager to vote for Dr. Bawumia.
Pimampim Kabrese V made the comment when Dr Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Yeji on Friday, October 18 as part of his campaign tour of the Pru East Constituency in the Bono East Region.
Thanking the chiefs and people for the very warm reception, Dr Bawumia said the development-oriented mindset of the NPP is part of efforts to ensure equitable national development.
Concrete evidence of this he said includes the roll-out of the Free SHS and Free TVET, Agenda III, provision of road construction equipment to every district, and the construction of courts in every district to facilitate the administration of justice and the rule of law.
Alluding to the legendary trade economy of Yeji, Dr Bawumia noted that, a key part of national development is the growth of commerce.
Thus, he said a Bawumia government will see to the construction of one major market in every district to facilitate trade.
“We will also roll out a Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund to provide loans and other financial services to our market women to help the markets and our economy to grow” he added.
