2024 AFCONQ: Jordan, Mumin start as Otto Addo announces starting XI for Angola encounter

Head coach, Otto Addo announced his starting XI for their opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Despite arriving at the camp late, Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew starts against the Palancras Negras.

Also in the starting lineup is Mohammed Kudus as Spain-based Abdul Mumin makes his first start for Ghana.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi starts in goal while the backline comprises Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu and Abdul Mumin,

Captain Thomas Partey is paired with Elisha Owusu in midfield while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Antoine Semenyo operate on the wings with Mohammed Kudus deployed behind Jordan Ayew.

Ghana is looking for a blistering start to the qualifiers to catch up with Sudan who beat Niger by a lone goal on Wednesday.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.
