The sixth round of matches of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League has concluded across various stadiums, delivering exciting results.

On Saturday, Accra Lions played out a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Ali Mohammed opened the scoring for the home side in the 58th minute, but Stephen Amankona equalized just two minutes later to secure a point for Chelsea.

Heart of Lions also settled for a goalless draw against Vision FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Sunday’s fixtures saw Hearts of Oak edge Young Apostles 2-1 at the Wenchi Sports Stadium, marking their return to winning ways. Emmanuel Amankwah gave the Phobians the lead in the 48th minute, but Samuel Prempeh equalized for the hosts in the 84th minute. However, Hamza Issah’s match-winning strike in the 86th minute ensured Hearts secured their first away victory of the season.

Basake Holy Stars claimed their second win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Karela United at home, thanks to Prince Opoku’s 77th-minute goal at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.

Meanwhile, Bibiani GoldStars maintained their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw at Nations FC. Faisal Chawetey put Nations FC ahead in the 34th minute, but Kelvin Oppong’s late equalizer in the 81st minute salvaged a point for GoldStars, who remain unbeaten in the campaign.

Elsewhere, Aduana FC notched their first victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Dreams FC. Emmanuel Marfo and Abubakar Adams found the net in the 47th and 89th minutes, respectively, securing the win. Dreams FC, meanwhile, remain winless after six matches.

Medeama SC suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-0 to Bechem United at the Nana Fodu Gyeabour Park. Dalvin Yeboah struck early in the 5th minute, followed by Emmanuel Abban’s 43rd-minute goal to seal the win for Bechem United.

The match between FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex was postponed due to heavy rain and will now be played on Monday, October 14, with a 10:00 AM kickoff.

Additionally, the Legon Cities vs. Asante Kotoko game was postponed due to Kotoko’s involvement in the Capital Cup tournament in Washington DC, USA.

Currently, Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC, and Berekum Chelsea hold the top four positions on the league table, while Young Apostles, Dreams FC, and Legon Cities occupy the relegation spots.
