The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League Matchday 25 fixtures have wrapped up, delivering thrilling encounters and unexpected outcomes across the country.
At DUN’s Park, Bibiani GoldStars and Hearts of Oak played out a dramatic 1-1 draw. After a goalless first half, Gideon Anaba put the hosts ahead with a 79th-minute penalty. However, their celebrations were cut short when Stephen Appiah struck a stoppage-time equalizer to rescue a point for the Phobians.
Over at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Accra Lions secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Legon Cities. Ernest Agyensem gave the hosts an early lead in the 5th minute, but Frank Akoto responded to level the score. Just before halftime, Musa Hamzata found the net in the 45th minute, ensuring all three points for the Lions.
In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko reclaimed the top spot with a narrow 1-0 win over Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium. Samuel Tenadu’s 14th-minute strike proved decisive, keeping the Porcupine Warriors in command of the league table.
At the Aliu Mahama Stadium, Karela United staged an impressive comeback to defeat Bechem United 2-1. Emmanuel Abban put the visitors ahead on the stroke of halftime, but an own goal by Baba Moro Abdulai brought Karela level. Eric Antwi then sealed the victory with a crucial 81st-minute goal.
Medeama SC continued their fine form with a solid 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at TNA Park. Defender Yusuf Mubarik converted from the penalty spot in the 55th minute before Michael Sarpong doubled the lead in the 76th minute to secure all three points for the Yellow and Mauve.
