2024/25 GHPL: FC Samartex cruises over Nsoatreman FC to return to winning ways

-

Defending champions, FC Samartex bounced back with a solid 2-0 victory over Nsoatreman FC on Monday morning.

The match, initially slated for Sunday, October 13, at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, was postponed due to heavy rain.

Samartex wasted no time taking control, scoring just a minute into the game when Akwesi Sarpong found the net with a precise shot that eluded the goalkeeper.

The Timber Giants maintained their momentum and quickly doubled their lead in the 10th minute through Felix Koduah, establishing a comfortable 2-0 advantage before halftime.

Despite a determined effort from Nsoatreman after the break, Yaw Preko’s team struggled to find the back of the net, failing to capitalize on their attacking chances.

Samartex defended resolutely, preserving their two-goal lead to secure all three points.

With this victory, Samartex climbs to fourth place in the league standings, while Nsoatreman finds themselves in 11th position with 7 points.

Samartex aims to keep their winning streak alive as they prepare to face Asante Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Meanwhile, Nsoatreman will seek to break their losing streak when they host newcomers Basake Holy Stars in the Matchday seven fixtures.
