2024/25 GHPL: Agyemang Badu predicts good season for Kotoko, Hearts of Oak

-

Former Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu expressed optimism about Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak’s prospects in the upcoming 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Both clubs, traditionally among Ghana’s top teams, faced disappointing finishes last season, with Kotoko ending 6th and Hearts of Oak 14th.

However, Badu’s confidence in their turnaround grew after witnessing their performance in the Democracy Cup on July 17 at Accra Sports Stadium.

Kotoko secured a 2-1 victory over their rivals with Justice Blay and Peter Acquah Amidu scoring for the Reds.

“For the past two years, I can say this is the first time I can say I have witnessed a great game [between] Hearts and Kotoko,” he told JoySports.

The ball was on the ground, inter-positional changes, good possession, composure and it was very nice. I think both of them can build on this and have a formidable squad. Both teams can build on this so that this year, the league will be very exciting” he added.

The Ghana Premier League is scheduled to kick off on September 6, with fixtures yet to be announced.
