2018 MTN FA CUP: Hearts will reach final – Coach Wellington

-

Coach Henry Wellington remains optimistic about a second MTN FA CUP final appearance for his side following a round of 64 victory over Accra Young wise.

The former Champion pipped the Division One side 1-0 at the Zaytuna park, courtesy a first half penalty converted by Joseph Esso.

And, the former Asante Kotoko trainer says it is a huge step towards the final for a second time

Coach Henry Wellington also believes it was a fine opportunity to try the club’s fringe players who did their best.

“Most of the boys are new so I’m trying to let them adjust to the game here. For instances for foreign duo Troare, the striker and Camara, the midfielder, I’m helping them adjust to the local game by giving them enough games,” he said after the game.

“We can go far. We just started, I want us to go far like we did last season by reaching the final and I am looking to adding at least a winger and a striker to strengthen the squad”, he said.

Hearts of Oak will line up on Thursday against Tema-based Inter Allies in match day 14 of the ongoing 2017/2018 Zylofon Cash Premier League.
