The National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is alleging that the one-million more vote gained by President Akufo-Addo over his predecessor in the 2016 general elections wasn’t a true gap.
According to Hajia Joyce Zainab Mahama, Ghanaians were forced to accept the results by the Electoral Commission (EC) because of Mr Mahama’s decision to accept the final results for the sake of peace.
She accused the NPP of pressurising the EC to announce the 2016 results after their presser a night before the results were announced, a situation she says deepened her suspicions.

“The 2016 results are not real. I can assure you that, that one million vote is not the true result of the elections. Even the ordinary Ghanaian believes the NDC didn’t lose the election but were forced to accept it because Mahama had already accepted the results so we had no option than to accept it too,” she said.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday, Madam Hajia Zainab Mahama who is contesting for the National Women’s organizer position of the party indicated that falsehoods and deceits are the major ingredients that were used by the NPP to win the December 7, 2016 polls.
“The NPP lied to Ghanaians and made fantastic unachievable promises and to the citizenry who believed them but today they have been exposed and most Ghanaians are regretting voting for them”, she said.
She indicated that the cost of living in Ghana currently is high, resulting in a major outcry among market women who were deceived into believing the government was God-sent but have finally realised the NPP is just a conglomerate of fraudsters and liars.
