135 newly posted teachers arrive in Afram Plains South after Adom News report

-

The Afram Plains South Education Directorate has welcomed 135 newly posted teachers, following reports by Adom News highlighting the teacher shortage in the Kwahu Afram Plains North and South districts.

The long-standing teacher deficit in the area has been exacerbated by the districts’ remoteness, with many teachers reluctant to stay.

At a workshop held in Tease by the Micyeb Foundation for the newly posted teachers, District Education Director Joseph Donkor appealed to them to stay and help improve education in the area.

“Many teachers leave shortly after being posted here because they consider the area remote. We encourage them to stay and make a difference,” Donkor stated.

Meanwhile, CEO of Micyeb Foundation, Michael Yeboah, expressed gratitude to Adom News for highlighting the issue and pledged his organization’s support in equipping teachers to deliver quality education.

Micyeb Foundation’s CEO, Michael Yeboah, also expressed appreciation to Adom News for highlighting the issue, pledging that his organization would continue to support efforts to equip teachers for effective education delivery.
