Bhageerathi Amma, a 105-year-old woman, has set a new record in India by passing a school-level exam.

The Quint reports that Amma, an indigene of Kollam in Kerala, passed her level 4 exams which were conducted by the State Literacy Mission as she scored 205 out of the overall 275 marks.

In the exams score breakdown, Amma scored 75 out of 75 in mathematics, giving her a total 74.5% score in the exam.

Her exam combinations are maths, English, Malayalam and Nammalum Namukku Chuttum (Us and what’s around us).

In English, she scored 30 over 50 and 50 each for other subjects except in maths where she had the whole 75 marks.

It should be noted that only English has a total mark of 50, while the three other subjects are scored over 75.

The 105-year-old said maths questions are simple before she took the exams.

Amma said that her dream is to complete level 10 equivalency exams.

When she was reminded of her statement that maths was easy, the centenarian smiled. Another thing worthy of note is that 11,593 people wrote the same exam, while 10,012 passed it in the state. In October 2019, Karthyayini Amma, aged 96 years, made history when she scored 98 out of 100 in the equivalency exams.
