Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Western North Regional Chairman, Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s ability to retain the Sefwi Wiawso Parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.

According to Mr. Assuah, the NPP’s impressive track record of developmental projects in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency will be a key factor in securing victory.

Speaking during a campaign event alongside the party’s parliamentary candidate, Festus Bumakama Agyapong, Mr. Assuah highlighted the significant impact of the NPP’s initiatives, including the establishment of the first-ever Sefwi Wiawso Nursing Training College, rural electrification, and the construction of the 42.8-kilometer road from Dwinase Tano Bridge to Benchema Barrier.

Mr. Assuah noted that approximately 80% of major infrastructure projects in the constituency since the beginning of the Fourth Republic were undertaken by the NPP, demonstrating the party’s commitment to development in the area.

He praised Mr Agyapong for his dedication to the constituency, despite not yet holding office, and urged constituents to vote for him to continue the work of the current MP,  Dr. Kwaku Afriyie.

Mr Agyapong has been actively involved in advocating for various projects, including market construction, AstroTurf installations, road reshaping, and educational support for brilliant students.

Mr. Assuah emphasized the importance of voting for both Hon. Agyapong and NPP presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to ensure continued progress in Sefwi Wiawso.

As part of his support for community initiatives, Mr. Assuah donated 50 bags of cement to assist in the construction of a nurses’ bungalow in the Sefwi Kunuma community.

He concluded by urging the constituents to vote overwhelmingly for the NPP, pointing to the transformation of Sefwi Wiawso as evidence of the party’s commitment to the region.
