The video of a galamsey operator crying out loud and cursing the government while watching his two excavators burn has gone viral on social media.
The yet-to-be identified galamsey operator who claims to be from Akwatia, a popular mining town in the Eastern Region lamented out loud on phone while watching the excavators he claimed to have hired set ablaze.
He claims to have worked for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to come to power to ‘reap profits of his labour and not incur unnecessary cost’.
The Operator in the video is crying out loud that he would soon be a laughing stock in the community.

  1. Is it not possible to use the confiscated excavators for other Government projects – roads and drainages? Is burning the excavators the best option?
