The New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in the Savelegu Nanton District of the Northern Region have vowed to kill anyone who steps out to demonstrate in support of their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

The threat was issued after the youth Friday morning stopped a planned demonstration in solidarity with the embattled MCE, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu.

The Savelugu-Nanton police clashed with some executives of the Party who on Thursday reportedly went to the premises of the Assembly to prevent the new MCE from entering her office.

The angry youth are alleging that the solidarity demonstration was by members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and has therefore vowed not to allow it to happen.

“We won’t allow anyone to protest on our streets. If you dare go ahead and protest to support the MCE, we will kill you. We will kill anyone who partakes in any such thing” one youth threatened.

They have remained steadfast that any attempt to impose Hajia Ayishetu Seidu on them will be fiercely resisted.

He told Adom News no arrest have been made so far but assured to cause arrest if the need arise.
