Renowned highlife artiste, Jewel Ackah is cursing his stars for composing a song for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to the ailing musicians, the party when in power never showed him love.
“NDC does not give money; they neglected me even in power”. He stated in an interview on Adom News Friday.
Jewel Ackah was the famous musician who composed the NDC anthem, “Arise Arise’” in the year 2008. The highlife icon was one of the many musicians who popularized highlife music in the 1980s and 1990s.
His sweet voice and enticing Fante Lyrics made him and exceptional artist. But his career took a nosedive after composing the song for the opposition political party.
He revealed that, his career ended because people stop purchasing his album just because of the NDC.
Jewel said he has learnt a big lesson and will not offer himself for that task again although he loves the NDC.
“After that composition I became a typical NDC. I did the song for free; and if I were supposed to charge for it will be over billions of cedis”, he stressed.
Jewel Ackah was certain he would have been living a very good life if he had aligned himself with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
