Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall sensation has announced that he is the ‘Fela Kuti’ of our time.
Speaking on the “Vibes In 5″ show, Epixode explained the motive behind his new look (face painting) as part of his brand.
The ‘Single’ hitmaker said: “Last year when I was at the Harare International Concert, I realized that people could not tell the difference between Ghanaian artistes and the Jamaicans doing Reggae/Dancehall even though I was fully clad in our national colours on that tour…”

“So I decided to incorporate my painting skill. I settled on face painting….When you see Epixode, you should identify me by the paintings on my face just like Fela. So I’m the new Fela.”

Additionally, he said that he shares some similarities with the legendary Fela Kuti because of his originality.
Fela Kuti was a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, musician, composer and pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre. Some of his songs are “Zombie”, “Shakara” and “Water no get enemy”.
